Cooper Energy is an oil and gas exploration and production company. Our right to operate and our reputation in the oil and gas industry wholly depends upon our adherence to the prevailing laws, regulations and technical and societal standards.
In addition to the prevailing laws, regulations and technical and societal standards, Cooper Energy takes pride in the high technical standards that is applied to all our projects. Our commitment to technical excellence includes ensuring that we apply the best technical evaluations and technology to all our projects so that in turn this can assist in our management of risk and maximise our profitability.
We will strive to ensure that our people are highly qualified and experienced so that our reputation for technical ability is second to none.
To ensure the implementation of this policy we will:
Comply with all prevailing laws, regulations and standards whilst aspiring to higher standards.
Hire the best technical personnel we can attract.
Ensure we apply our full and undivided knowledge and experience so that we fully understand the subsurface geology and engineering.
Apply optimum and cost effective technological solutions to all our projects.
To ensure that our evaluations and solutions are robust, the subsurface and engineering evaluations will be peer reviewed either within the company or using external third parties if required.
Pick simple proven solutions that are known to work rather than exotic alternatives.
Use our influence to promote this policy in non-operated ventures.
Promote our values and culture so that all employees act in accordance with this policy.
The Managing Director is accountable to the Board of Directors for ensuring that this policy is implemented. This policy will reviewed on a yearly basis.
This Policy applies to all staff and contractors engaged in activities under Cooper Energy’s operational control.
